Downtown
"Mainhattan" has the most pronounced skyline of all German cities. The financial district is lined with some of Europe's tallest office buildings. The City of Frankfurt maintains strict regulations on the construction of high-rise office buildings to maintain a well balanced skyline. Highrise towers are distributed between the financial district and the Messe district.
Many of the highrise buildings are difficult to appreciate from street level. These pictures are taken from the open air platform on top of the Main Tower.
Deutsche Bank Commerzbank Main Tower
Deutsche Bank twin towers. The glass towers reflect their environment. Looking from above, they look dark, looking from street level, the look bright. The Commerzbank tower has three- story halls lined with trees -- 30 floors above street level. In the background the river Main. The Main Tower -- Frankfurt's latest addition to the skyline. It is named after the river Main.
